Matt Clark

With over a decade of personal training experience, Matt is an industry veteran. His experience has allowed him to work with a diverse array of clientele. Business executives, physicians, seniors, moms, athletes and more have all seen results working with Matt.

Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with his personal training certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). This educational background assists him with maintaining the most up-to-date knowledge about human exercise physiology and nutrition. He is constantly learning and always looking to improve his knowledge on the most complex thing in the universe – the human body.

Matt’s personal fitness background is extensive. His personal fitness ambitions began 16 years ago when he first realized the benefits of weight training. Over this time, he has personally explored almost every facet of fitness. Below is a brief list of some of his fitness-related accomplishments.

-In November 2012, Matt set the USAPL (the gold standard American powerlifting organization) Collegiate Deadlifting National Record

-In January 2011, Matt set the USAPL Open Illinois State Bench Press Record

-In October 2008, Matt took 1st place at the North American Grappling Association Midwest Championship in his division

-In May 2008, Matt road with George Hood during his successful attempt at the Guinness World Record for static “spin” cycling

In addition to the aforementioned, Matt has competed in numerous powerlifting, martial arts, and 5K running events.
